Trudy Gardner resides
in Half Moon Bay, California with her precious new puppy named Sydney. Her previous two dogs, Gidget and Collin have
both passed away in the past couple of years but they were the reason her career path took a u turn.
In 2004, she started
a Professional Pet Sitting business called "No Place like Home". In 2007, she expanded her business after graduating
with honors from the Animal Behavior College and becoming a Certified Dog Obedience Instructor.
"Once I began studying, I quickly realized I made every mistake in the book with my two dogs, Gidget and Collin. Both
were holy terrors when they were puppies. Now I know why!"
Before "No Place Like Home", Trudy left a 20 year career in Television and Radio to pursue her
other passion in life; dogs! "Being a correspondent for the NBA’s basketball/magazine show; “Inside Stuff”,
was a career highlight. I followed up as Host of my very own show on ESPN, called “Unbelievable Sports”
and that was an even bigger kick! Today I am so lucky to be able to say I am pursuing my true passion in life. My life
on television was good but my life with dogs is great!"
"I chose A.B.C. (Animal Behavior
College) because I liked their philosophy on training dogs. The curriculum is based on positive motivational training methods
and behavioral problem solving. The Program begins by teaching students how to build a proper canine/human relationship.
Creating a relationship built on positive interaction and consistency can often deter future unwanted behavior problems, facilitate
faster learning and even solve some existing behavioral challenges."
