Q.  I have never used a pet sitter before. How can I make sure I am getting a trustworthy, dependable person to care for my pets and property?

No Place Like Home understands the responsibility of caring for your pets and property and takes this responsibility very seriously. No Place Like Home is licensed with the City Of Half Moon Bay and is insured through the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters. 

Q. What does No Place Like Home typically provide for a client when they are out of town?

A standard client request is for 1-3 visits per day, each visit is approximately 30 minutes, depending upon the pets needs. During each visit the pet sitter will provide fresh water, feed your pets, clean up the litter box and/or cage, provide medication and any special dietary needs. Most importantly, we also give your pet lots of love and companionship, exercise and conversation.

No Place Like Home will also look after your home by bringing in your mail and newspapers, alternate lights and curtains and set out the garbage for collection to give your house a lived in appearance while you are away. We will also care for your houseplants.

Q. Does No Place Like Home provide scheduled walks or visits when I am in town but just too busy working or doing other things?

Yes. Clients often request appointments for walks or visits when working late, dining out or just behind schedule.   

Q. What kind of pets do you care for?

All pets!   No Place Like Home will care for most pets as long as they do not pose a danger or have a history of biting or attacking other animals or people.

Q. How do I know my pets are doing well while I am away?

No Place Like Home will always take your call when you're out of town and feel the need to check up on your pets.  We can also e-mail reports regarding your pets while you are traveling.

Q. What areas do you serve? 

Service area is limited to cities west of the 92 on the San Francisco Coast including Half Moon Bay, El Granada, Montara, Moss Beach and Pacifica. If your area is not included we will happily refer you to another Professional Pet Sitter.
